Feeling a tad crafty!

been working on some more projects - here is another that I can now share as I have given it to the lucky kidlets!

I am sure many of you have seen this all over Pinterest, so my friend asked if this year we could do a Homemade Crafty Christmas - heck ya! She knew what she was getting as she requested it, just didn't know what the final result would be - turned out pretty sweet I must say!

Started out with a basic fence board, planed it down until it was nice and smooth, stained it with a favorite Minwax color Tudor and once dried over night, gave it a light sand with a find sandpaper.  Once cleaned up with tac cloth, started my stamping! I used my Tim Holtz Numeric Stamp Set from Stampers Anonymous with Ranger Ink's Jet Black Archival Ink - measured and spaced accordingly! And of course used my Tim Holtz Grid Blocks to apply the stamped image.

Here are a few close ups of the process...

Measuring up the inch marks I simply lined up the measuring tape and angle square and marked it off with a fine point sharpie.  I went back later with the broad tip permanent marker.  Making sure to allow to dry for at least 24 hours before applying the clear finish.

Here is the final result! The board is 6 feet 2" in height but once screwed into the wall at the correct height (6" off the floor), will allow for them to measure the kidlets up to the height of 6'7"

Thanks for popping by and checking it all out!
